This free program being offered by Omnicity started November 2012. We provide weekly workshops that give support and information to tribal members who wish to make dietary changes and begin exercising to improve their overall health and help avoid type 2 diabetes.

The National Diabetes Prevention Lifestyle Change Program is a community-based approach from the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and the National Institute of Health (NIH) which has been proven to help participants loose 5-7%  of their body weight and has reduced the risk of developing type 2 diabetes by 58% in people at high risk.
